Use Cases
Standard collection management on Shopify is a manual loop: add a new category to the menu, create a collection, define a rule, link it to the menu. As the store grows, this loop consumes hours every week. On catalogs over 200 products, menu-collection inconsistencies hurt the customer experience; a product found via search ends up in a collection that cannot be reached from the menu.

Technical Detail
Rule-generation logic
Collection Wizard reads the titles and hierarchy in your navigation menu. In a three-level structure like "Women > Tops > T-Shirt" it generates an independent collection rule for each level; products are matched automatically by tag, product type or vendor.
Synchronization
When a menu item is renamed, the collection rule updates automatically. The collection matching a deleted menu item is archived; products are not deleted.
Conflict management
The same product can fall into multiple collections. Collection Wizard lets you define priority rules; you decide which collection a product appears in first.
